A CLOSING GATHERING, RESUMING AND OVERVIEWING FOR THE FINAL DAY AND NIGHT OF THE MPA-HUB AT THE DINGDONGDOM
FFor the first time in its 4-year history MPA-B inhabited a headquarter, a living experiment for the future HOUSE OF PERFORMANCE ART in Berlin: the MPA-HUB. After the INAUGURATION on May 2nd now follows the EXAUGURATION of the space. It will be a Valedictory Act: the displayed and anticipated objects from the inauguration will be back together with the catalogue which documented their states before their were used in performances. According to the initial title: SOME OBJECTS PERFORM BETTER THAN OTHERS we will resume the May days…
But that’s not the end: whoever missed the auction at the Inauguration has now the great chance to get hold of another “performed upon” object, body of work, relic, leftover, documentation or remainder from the countless ephemeral and unique performative interventions. MPA-B gives you the chance to start your own performative collection… or just take a memorabilia home with you. The idea is adopted from the Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival in 2013. How exactly does it work? Come and check it out! Join us!
