NEUE STUDIE ZUR IDENTIFIKATION
My artistic work follows a group of questions around the subject materiality/immateriality of performance art, visible on how actions and documentation is explored. In 2006 I did a performance (studie zur identifikation) a Friedrichsbrücke in Berlin, which consisted of throwing into the river Spree a suitcase with some personal belongings. The performance was documented by photography and drawing. The documentation of Performance has been of such importance for theoretical and historical discussion but in particular for performance practice itself, for documents carry knowledge which enable, for example, to re-perform the action.
My purpose is to perform once more studie zur identifikation, to experience/live again the remembered ‘affections’ contained within the documents, but above all a chance to identify the unrepeatable in similar lived and personal experiences. The context of both performances is autobiographical, regarding documentation as autobiographical referential for the process of making art.

A research-in-performance happening, calling for body and voice to explore questions of WHO(se)? This project is inspired by the vast wilderness & liveliness of Tempelhofer Feld. It offers an opportunity to embrace and creatively perform the ever-shifting collective ownership and blurred territoriality of this space. How is authorship experienced and performed in this shared landscape? The many inhabitants of this space converge, meeting through their stories and embodied rituals.
The happening emerges from the social composition of local structures, such as the community gardens and Gecekondu play huts. We ground in what is here, offering participants a chance to perform their memories and dreamscapes for Tempelhofer. Expect scavenger hunts and physical snapshots. Imagine invisible flags and handmade emblems. A potlucked collage of characters and makers. This performed research is an open doors village.
WHO(se)? includes a PICNIC POTLUCK. If you can, please bring a dish to share
