The copious profane and a plethora of physical transitions in
Glausnitzer-Smiths current work
written by Dagmar I. Glausnitzer-Smith 2015
An atmospherically, hyperactive substance can merely be arrested in the visual expectation of aesthetic congruence. Instead the action moment immediately toys with several belief systems and conventions of assumed models of perception or pre-conceptions. The intuitive power (trained through a liberation process of the projected self) reveals the unknown self, which is equally part of the same existentially placid value for responsibility as if it was reasoned by the mind the way I am experiencing it at one moment.
The object, the materials in the action are devoured beyond recognition and its functions remain as signs of the past, thus in the moment, the relationship between object and artist is abstract.
The notion that it is inexplicable when something happens, artist and viewer are coupled by (German Assoziationsschübe) thrusts of associative image fragments. The mind does not resolve it but something occurs against the emergence of effect due to the ‘suspected’ origin of cause.
Then I am following the calling of object and material.
I am investigating the artist’s portrait in film and photography enquiring the notion of deception, idealised projection and reflection, as it becomes a temporary trueness to the artist’s life. With my inventions in methodology and repetitive processes, I can re-position myself in the subjective world of Life’s occurrences and ‘interventions’.
Places for my work concentrate in virtual spaces website-project, temporary floors, site-poetic places, the Public, International Festivals and Events, International Performance Art Workshops, Radio Interviews, Books and Publications, Essays, Open Studio, appointed situations and the continued organisation of public projects.
