Performance and Workshops from 24.2 to 26.2 at Kleiner Salon

The participating artists have met in the frame of the project NGinPA (group of female identified performers dealing with normative gaze in Performance art) in 2013 and adress questionnings of norms and gender in the arts in their own pratice. They meet again and welcome a special guest for a week end of performances, workshops, and encounters at Kleiner Salon.

Katie Lee Dunbar is a performer and visual artist based in Berlin. Her research focuses on voice, memory, movement, language and installation. She will perform using a body of text written in the last months.

Gaby Bila-Günther, aka Lady Gaby is a Berlin-based spoken word & performance an visual artist who was labeled ‘the Peaches of spoken word’ in Berlin, ‘oddly poetic’ and ‘flamboyant and upbeat’ by The Age paper in Melbourne and labeled ‘provocative’ by The Pill in Prague; blushing she asks – why?
‘Her provocative work expresses her daily life, encounters with others and her surroundings. Gaby dressed in purple and green, takes the microphone and with her words takes over everybody souls. Words of truth, love, society, anger and values. Eyes of life.’!
‘Lady Gaby turns her spoken words into an interactive, in- your-face performance accompanied by beats, projections and costumes. ‘Sexy and Powerful show’!
Anaïs Héraud-Louisadat is a performer and visual artist based in Berlin. Her research focus on dimensions of sound, language and voice in the transmission of knowledge and memory as in her two last projects „Ritournelles series“ and „Squat Monument“ (2015,2016). For „name of the event“ she will present a Ritournelle performance around the topic of genealogy.
Monica Gentile (IT) based in Berlin since 2013.
Dancer, performer and choreographer interested in Movement Research and Somatic Practices.
Her previous creations: MINIMAL DANCE (2012); SHEPHERD (2016 work in progress).
In 2014 she curate and manage dance and performance events at Plateau Gallery, Green House, Berlin. Currently she is part of the Lake Studios Berlin.
Karina Villavicencio is a performance artists who draws, take photos and does research. The pivotal point of her work is her personal story. As Argentinian living between France and Germany, she is interested in approaching concepts such as shifting, migration and frontiers, thinking them from the sensation of vacuum, encounter with the other and memory. She works with hair and wool, elements that are easy to carry around. Currently she lives in Berlin and actively organizes manifold platforms and artistic festivals and addresses gender problematic
